Scientists at NISCAIR, New Delhi : Scientist /Senior Scientist : 17 posts (09 current posts (UR-5,OBC-2, SC-1,ST-1), 08 backlog posts (SC-1, ST-2, OBC-5)),

Pay Scale : PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs. 6600/- for Scientists and Rs.7600/- for Senior Scientists, Age : 32 years for Scientists and 37 years for Senior Scientists as on 10/04/2012. Application Fee : Rs.100/- (no fee for SC/ST/Women/PWD candidates) in the form of DD in favour of Director, NISCAIR, payable at New Delhi.

General Instructions: 1. National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources (NISCAIR), a constituent establishment of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research,
2. Act as facilitator in furthering economic, social, industrial, scientific and commercial development by providing timely access to relevant and accurate
3. The posts will carry usual allowances i.e. Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), etc as admissible to Central Government employees
4. The posts are pensionable under the New Pension Scheme which has been in vogue with effect
5. Relaxation in upper age limit up to 5 years is allowed to Council/ Government/Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector employees in accordance with the instructions

About the organization: National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources (NISCAIR) came into existence on 30 September 2002 with the merger of National Institute of Science Communication (NISCOM) and Indian National Scientific Documentation Centre (INSDOC). Both NISCOM and INSDOC, the two premier institutes of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), were devoted to dissemination and documentation of S&T information.
